HackElite is the flagship competitive innovation challenge organized by the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa. It is an is an inter-university innovation competition open to all universities in Sri Lanka, bringing together creative minds to solve real-world challenges using software and hardware.

Hackelite is an inter university innovation challenge organized by the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa.It brings together undergraduate teams across Sri Lanka to tackle real-world challenges through technology-driven innovation. Participants can design and build solutions using both software and hardware, gaining hands-on experience from ideation to implementation while developing skills in coding and problem-solving.
Teams can consist of 3 to 4 members, however, to encourage participation of female innovators, atleast two members from the team should be female. All team members must be from the same university, however we encourage inter disciplinary teams, eg: members from different faculties
Participation is open to all undergraduates from state and private universities in Sri Lanka.
Your code belongs to you. HackElite 3.0 claims zero ownership over your prototypes. However, we do request the right to showcase your projects in our archives.
Yes, we issue certificates to all participants, recognizing their valuable participation and achievements based on the phase they reach in the competition.
Absolutely. HackElite welcomes participants of all experience levels. If you are new to innovation challenges or product building, workshops will be conducted before each phase to help you prepare, strengthen your skills, and confidently take on the next stage of the competition.
We kindly ask that only one member from the team, preferably the team leader, fill the registration form. After submitting, the team leader can join a dedicated Team Leads WhatsApp group where all important updates and announcements will be shared.

The judges' decisions will be final and independent from the influence of IEEE WIE UOM and the Organizing Committee.
